Winter Series

The Muscat Road Runners Winter series runs from October to March.  There are 9 runs of which you will need to participate in 6 to qualify for your end of series t-shirt.  The runs vary in length from 5k all the way through to the Half Marathon (21kms) to be held at the end of January/beginning February 2008.  The longer runs usually take place during the coolest months of the year - November, December, January and February. 

• Your best 6 runs will count to your overall standing in the league at the end of the season.
• There are separate leagues for women and men
• In each league, the fastest runner gets 50 points.  If there are more than 31 runners participating in one league, 20 points will be given to all runners who end at a position lower than 31. 20 points will also be given to all runners who start but do not complete the course (e.g retires injured etc....).
• Runners who run less than the full distance, will get their positions in the run after the runners who complete the full distance
• Winter Series race times are not corrected for late starts
